Dr G S Wander advices doctors to reduce stress, IG police Ludhiana Dr Kaustubh Sharma was the Chief Guest, 10 renowned doctors were honoured
Ludhiana (Rajkumar Sathi). Dr Manoj K Sobti, Patron IMA Ludhiana and member Punjab medical council discussed about violence against doctors and other problems faced by the medical fraternity. He said that doctors are the soldiers of the country who do not fight at the borders but delicately work hard to save lives while putting their own lives at risk. They are the first to respond to pandemic situations like COVID and plague. IMA Ludhiana observed this Doctor’s day at a very grand function held at IMA house, IG police Ludhiana range Dr Kaustubh Sharma was the chief guest. He saluted the spirit of doctors, their treeless efforts, dedication and commitment to save lives and promote health. Dr Gaurav Sachdeva president IMA Ludhiana talked about the significance of national Doctor’s Day and said that IMA is the only representative body of doctors of modern science which take care of dignity and honor of doctors. Dr Neeraj Agarwal secretary IMA Ludhiana said that 1st July every year is celebrated as Doctor’s Day in the memory of Dr BC Roy who was born on this day and died also on the same day. Dr Roy was a politician, freedom fighter, humanitarian, renowned physician and was Chief Minister of West Bengal. At the function 10 senior doctors were honored with the lifetime achievement award, Dr G S wander, Professor cardiology at Hero DMC wonderfully explained the causes of heart diseases and precautions he said that doctors develop stress during their practice and yoga, meditation, socializing and also other extracurricular activities can keep them to reduce it. The doctors who were awarded were Dr H M Khosla Dr N D Avasthi, Dr H S Kang, Dr Rajesh Prahwak Dr Pawan Dhingra Dr Indresh Aggarwal Dr R P S Batra Dr G K Nakra Also present were Dr Pritpal Singh, Dr Ajit Singh Chawla, Dr Arun Gupta, Dr Daljit Singh, Dr Bhavna Sachdeva, Dr P S jassal, Dr Karamvir Goyal, Dr Bimal Kanish and hundreds of doctors from the city of Ludhiana and Khanna etc.
