The focus of their visit is to undergo specialized training in Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) techniques, with a particular emphasis on the intricate procedure of Bilateral Internal Mammary Artery (IMA) CABG. This educational initiative marks a unique exchange of expertise between healthcare professionals, fostering a spirit of shared knowledge and innovation. The visiting surgeons aim to enhance their skills in CABG, a critical surgical procedure for patients with coronary artery disease. Sh. Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society, commended the dedicated efforts of the HDHI team and praised the fruitful collaboration with the doctors from Gagan Lal Hospital in Nepal. He also expressed his satisfaction in sharing the wealth of knowledge and experience that the doctors at HDHI have with others to enhance healthcare provision. Dr. GS Wander, Principal, DMC&H, emphasized that HDHI has been performing CABG with this technique without any cut on legs for the past decade, accumulating experience from 6000 cases and previously training surgeons from Egypt, RML Lucknow and PGI Chandigarh. Dr. Sarju Ralhan, Chief Cardiac surgeon and lead instructor at Hero DMC Heart Institute, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. “We are thrilled to host our colleagues from Nepal and share insights into advanced CABG techniques, particularly the nuances of Bilateral IMA CABG.
