Free Medical Camp held at DMCH College of Nursing

Ludhiana (Rajkumar Sathi). To Commemorate 100th birth anniversary of Late Shri Brij Mohan Lall Munjal,  Department of Community Health Nursing, DMCH College of Nursing organized a Free Medical Camp in college Campus Malakpur in which more than 200 people benefitted from the camp. An expert team of doctors from Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology and Pediatrics department given their services in the camp. The camp was inaugurated by Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society Sh. Bipin Gupta along with Treasurer DMC&H Managing Society Sh Mukesh Kumar, Principal Dr. Sandeep Puri, Vice Principal Dr. G.S. Wander, Dean Academics  Dr. Sandeep Kaushal, Medical Superintendents Dr. Sandeep Sharma, Dr. Ashwani K Chaudhary and Dr. Bishav Mohan. Sarpanch of different villages Malakpur Bet, Birmi, Phagla, Jhammat, Jainpur, Barnhara, Partapura also present on the occasion. In his message, Secretary DMCH Managing Society Sh Bipin Gupta appreciated the efforts of DMCH College of Nursing for conducting this free medical camp for the rural people. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr (Mrs) Triza Jiwan said that main purpose of this camp is to create awareness among the masses about the various ailments and its precautionary measures. Under the supervision of Co-ordinator Prof. Sandeep Kaur, HOD Community Health Nursing, Mrs. Meenaksh Asso. Professor, Mrs. Amninder Kaur Asst. Professor, Ms. Shivani Kumari Nursing Tutor, Ms. Bhupinder Kaur Nursing Tutor and Mrs. Rinky Masih Sr. Nursing Tutor students of B.Sc 4th year students educated the rural people about precautions, good eating habits and things to be avoided to live a healthy life. Special health education related to diabetes mellitus, hypertension, arthritis, stress, and anemia was given to the public. It was emphasised that early detection of disease was very helpful in proper and timely cure.
