The district unit of the Communist Party of India has condemned in very strong words firing on the kisans at the borders and the use of drones to throw tear gas to disperse them. The CPI has said that this is totally anti democratic and fascist act on the part of the government. Over constitution guarantees every citizen or group to raise its voice and hold protest demonstrations. Modi government has proved that it is totally undemocratic and against the common man and Pro corporate. They have not only backed out of the demands agreed upon earlier for the farmers, instead it is resorting to repressive actions on them. The Samyukt Kisan Morcha and Central trade unions sectoral federations /associations have already given a program of action against Modi government’s anti people anti worker and anti employee, anti farmer and anti other sections of the society. CPI has appealed that we should support this call for strike and Bharat band on 16 February which has become all the more important in the changed situation.
