Ludhiana, April 21 (Rajkumar Sathi). Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma on Monday directed the officers that whenever an application is marked to them for investigation, that officer must promptly investigate and return it directly to the district headquarters. This measure will prevent public inconvenience and ensure that applications are resolved efficiently and on time. Sharma added that Commissionerate office received applications from the public, which were assigned to senior officers stationed at the district headquarters for investigation. However, instead of directly returning these applications to the headquarters after investigation, the officers forwarded them through their zonal officers to this office which cause significant inconvenience to the general public, who had to visit various offices repeatedly. As a result, both the police and the public wasted time, and the resolution of applications faced unnecessary delays.
