To promote women’s health and well-being, an awareness session on feminine hygiene was conducted by the Department of Obstetrics and Gyanecology ,DMC&H at PTCE Group of Institution Ludhiana . The session aimed to empower women’s health and provide crucial knowledge and practices related to personal hygiene. The Session was conducted by Dr Ashima Taneja, Professor & Head and Dr Muskan Chaudhary, Assistant Professor from the Department of Obst.& Gyane , DMC&H. In his message, Secretary DMC&H Managing Society, Sh Bipin Gupta said that DMC&H is always in the forefront for conducting awareness sessions among the masses and he lauded the efforts of Obst. & Gyanacology to conduct this talk. Dr. Ashima Taneja Professor & Head Department of Obst.& Gyane Highlighted valuable information including menstrual hygiene management, common myths, and best practices for maintaining feminine health. Dr Muskan Chaudhary shared information about various menstrual hygiene management products (MHM) tampons, menstrual cups, uses of sanitary pads also highlighted about intake of iron rich foods, hydration, using heating pad or hot water bottle during periods. Discussion , questioning rounds made this session more interactive and more than 300 students were participated in this session.
