District Administration Ludhiana is all set to launch slew of activities under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme as Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Anmol Singh Dhaliwal today reviewed the entire plan during a meeting with the departments concerned. The ADC said that District Administration was going to start new activities to create maximum awareness under this drive so that the message of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao can further be disseminated across the district. He mentioned that administration was going to launch driving training classes for girls as it will further boost their confidence to achieve new feats in life. Likewise, painting of successful women belonging to our district would be made on prominent places so as to give a strong message of women empowerment through these roll models. He also said that administration was also planning to set up feeding corners at public places, and starting job oriented courses for girls besides other activities. He directed the officials concerned to accord top priority to these activities as it will carry forward this mission to its desirable goal. The ADC stated that the Ludhiana Administration had already launched slew of activities under this scheme to give the message of gender equality and importance of girl child. Now, some new activities to be kick started in coming days to further strengthening this ongoing campaign.
