MLAs, DC and Officials hand over documents on spot, People give thumps up to Government’s initiative, 46 camps today in all sub-divisions of Ludhiana

Under Aap di Sarkar Aap de Dwar ‘s initiative to provide citizen services to people at their native places instead of them having to visit the offices, Ludhiana administration on the first day organized 45 camps which evoked overwhelming response from the people. MLAs Sarvjit Kaur Manuke, Rajinderpal Kaur Chhina, Jiwan Singh Sangowal, Madan Lal Bagga, Hardeep Singh Mundian, Hakam Singh Thekedar, Manwinder Singh Giaspura, Jagtar Singh Dyalpura, and others along with Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney visited the camps in the several areas. They interacted with the people and also handed over the documents to the people at the spot who availed the services in the camps. The people have given a thumbs-up to the government’s initiative and hailed it as they would be now receiving 44 types of services near their homes.

Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney took stock of the camps in Dhandra, Phullanwal and met hundreds of people besides facilitating them at the spot by providing citizen-centric services. Accompanied by ADC (G) Ojasvi Alankar, SDM Deepak Bhatia, Sawhney listened to the issues of people patiently and took feedback from the officials by visiting the kisoks of each department in the camps. She said that such camps will be held in villages and urban areas of the district daily so that people do not have to face problems in visiting the government offices to avail the services. Special attention would be given to ensure that the people coming to the camps could get the benefits of maximum schemes, Sawhney said and added that the adequate publicity will be ensured through public announcements for maximum participation of the people. Sawhney said that the SDMs would be overall incharge of the camps and officials from various departments including Revenue, Sewa Kendras, Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities, Social Security and Development of Women and Children, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Health, Water Supply and Sanitation, PSPCL, Rural Development and Panchayats, Food Supply Labour, Police and others would offer services and solve grievances of the people at the spot. The Deputy Commissioner said that in these camps, government services including birth or death certificates, Affidavit attestation, Stipend to children of beneficiaries, residence certificate, SC certificate, Registration of construction worker, pension to old age, BC certificate, Electricity payment, Addition of name in birth certificate, Inspection of revenue records, Registration of marriage (compulsory), multiple cases of death certificate, renewal of construction worker card, correction of entry in birth certificate, issuance of death/NAC certificate, Rural Area Certificate, multiple copies of birth certificate, General Caste Certificate, pension to widow/destitute citizen, non-encumbrance certificate, equity entry of mortgage, delayed entry of birth certificate, Income Certificate, pension to handicapped, Fard Generation, Apply for disability Certificate (UDID), Countersigning of documents, registration of marriage (Anand), Shagun Scheme, Pension to Dependent Children, Border Area Certificate, Delayed registration of death, Counter Signing of documents of NRI, Counter signing of police clearance certificate, Correction of entry in death certificate, Kandi Area certificate will be offered to the people.

46 CAMPS TO BE HELD ON FEB 7

In MC Ludhiana, the camps will be held in ward 18, 21 and 65. In Payal, the camps will be organized in Chomon, Rabbo Ucchi, Rabbo Nichi, Kulaharh, Nanakpur Jugera and Siarh. In Samrala, the camps will be held in Samrala ward number (8, 5 and 7), Garhi Tarkhana, Julah Majra, Palmajra, Urna, Mushkabad, Sihala, Machhiwara (Ward-4, 5 and 6), Dhnoor, Chakli Manga and Khera. In Khanna, the camps will be held in Kishangarh, (ward-8, 9 and 10), Gagan Majra, Malakpur. In Jagraon, the camps will be organized in (ward 7,8,9,10,11 and 12). The camps will be held in Ghuman, Abbuwal, Budhel and Rattowal villages of Raikot sub-division. Similarly for Ludhiana East, the camps will be organized in Sahnewal (Bilga, Majra), Sahnewal EO, Dehlon, Koom and for Ludhiana west, the camps will be held in Jhande, Threeke, Daad, Thakarwal, Behla, Jhamedi, Himayupura and Ladian Kalan.
