SAYS, PUNJAB GOVERNMENT COMMITTED TO REVAMPING HEALTHCARE INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE STATE, RS. 550 CRORE PACKAGE APPROVED BY CM TO STRENGTHEN SECONDARY HEALTHCARE FACILITIES IN PUNJAB 

Ludhiana (Rajkumar Sathi). Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh on Tuesday launched a new, state-of-the-art hospital by Fortis group in Ludhiana City, which is the 4th multi-speciality hospital by this renowned healthcare company in the state.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the Fortis Group was expanding its infrastructure in Punjab as it has opened its 4th multi-speciality in the state. He reiterated that Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann was committed to revamping healthcare infrastructure in the state as a slew of measures have already been taken by the government.  He mentioned the government has set up about 664 Aam Aadmi Clinics, over 2979 health and wellness centres in the state to strengthen primary healthcare infrastructure while Punjab CM has approved a package of worth Rs. 550 crore to modernize secondary healthcare facilities wherein all district hospitals will be upgraded at par with private hospitals.

He also lashed out at union government for not releasing requisite funds to the state government. The minister said “Fortis Healthcare’s expansion in Ludhiana is a commendable step towards elevating the healthcare landscape of Punjab. The new state-of-the-art facility aligns with our government’s vision for accessible, high-quality medical services. It reflects Fortis’s commitment not just to Ludhiana but to the entire state, enhancing healthcare provisions and contributing to the well-being of our citizens.

This initiative is a significant contribution to Punjab’s health sector and sets a benchmark for medical excellence.”  The newly inaugurated Fortis multi-specialty hospital in Ludhiana boasts 70 beds and a variety of specialty clinics like Breast, Diabetes, Spine, Pain, Sports Injury, and Child clinics.

The hospital is equipped with 4 Laminar Flow Operation Theatres, Advanced Diagnostics, and 24/7 triage. In addition to its medical expertise, the hospital offers advanced services such as the Comprehensive Cardiac Sciences Department with Heart Failure, TAVI & MICS programs, the Best Critical Care Department with ECMO Program, Minimally Invasive, Reconstructive, and Comprehensive Cancer Services, Robotic Joint Replacement, Arthroscopy & Sports Injury Centre, Comprehensive Neurosciences program with a dedicated Stroke Program and Neuro Muscular Clinic, Comprehensive MCH Department with Advanced Neonatal ICU Services, Comprehensive Gastro Sciences Department with Two Dedicated Endoscopy Suites, Renal Sciences, 24×7 Radiology, Laboratory, & Diagnostics.
